Space wolves are arguably the best army in the game. Your reckoning chapter should totally be played as them.

Well... Let's just outline whats good.

1 Space Marine Librarian in Power Armour, 100 pts (Force Axe; Warlord; Codex Psychic Powers; Null Zone; The Gate of Infinity)

9 Tactical Squad, 230 pts (Plasma gun; Plasma Cannon)
1 Sergeant (Bolt Pistol; Combi-Plasmagun x1)
1 Rhino (Searchlight; Smoke Launchers; Storm Bolter)

1 Storm Talon Gunship, 130 pts

1 Predator, 85 pts (Heavy Bolter (each side)

Vindicators

dreadnoughts with twin autocannons

In certain situations drop pods can be pretty good.

I also think the landraider can be good with the right builds

stern guard are good. Not sure if you run them with a libby with gate or a drop pod or both but I see them as feasible

Relic blades are good on the commander if you want to take him although I prefer libbys in almost every situation

The other thought which I think is good and over looked in lots of dreads with the master of the forge.

Most of the other units are mediocre IMO.

The special characters can add a lot but i know you tend to not like them.

Allies really make SMs shine. SMs have some weakness, Primarily cheap scoring units, anti flier, and hth units. actually to be more accurate, I think SM shine as allies, because 4 additioanl resilient troops in the allies slot realy helps aremies that have no way to get more than 6 troop slots in their base list a lot better.
