Please note that strategems will not be available to next week when I get to the club.

For all 500pt games, use the following mission/deployment chart for 500pt games.

500 Point Mission Rules
Scoring Units:
• Troop choices score as per the rulebook
• One additional non-vehicle/non-monstrous unit of your choice also counts as a scoring unit.

Missions- Roll a d6 to determine missions
• 1-2 – Kill Points (first blood is the tiebreaker only, no additional battle points given)
• 3-4 – Objectives (d3+1 objectives, line breaker is the tiebreaker only, no additional battle points given)
• 5-6 – Table Quarters (table quarters that have a scoring unit and no opposing units… either scoring or contesting in that quarter… slay the warlord is the tiebreaker only, no additional battle points given)

Deployment on 4x4 table – Roll a d6 to determine deployment
• 1-2 – Table Quarter deployment, 12” pushback from the center of the table
• 3-4 – Vanguard Strike
• 5-6 – Dawn of War

Random game length, night fight and reserves rules are in effect for all missions. Mysterious objectives are not because they are stupid.

*New The forum and the store in general, met some of you for the first time today. Witnessed two escalation games today (a route of Dark Angels by some unholy Daemons and Orks krumpin sum dark pointy earz) and got really interested.

I appreciate the comp rules you've applied to these smaller 500 pt games - one question: what about monstrous creatures? Great Unclean Ones and Avatars and riptides and wraithknights might be a bit much, considering the other vehicle limitations?

I am afraid I don't follow your concern. Those monstrous critters are killy, but they can't score. At 500pts you're talking half an army that can't claim objectives in two of three missions. I would also note that I wanted people to have the option of playing what they choose to paint as the league is heavily designed for people starting new armies.

Also some armies have such easy ways of dealing with Monstrous Creatures I wouldn't really want to field one at 500pts anyway. I think it's fine.
