Posting this week and next week's topics a bit early. Anyone else planning on making it in this Thursday for the last weekday for the 500pt level of the league?

I will be in at ~3pm, possibly a little earlier. Would like to make sure anyone who hasn't played against my tau have a chance to before we make it to 850pts next week.

Unsure yet, going to try to make it. Doubt I'll be able to get in so early this week.

Hey!

I came in a few weeks ago and played in a couple Thursday night games, but I haven't been in since. My name is Ian.

I'd love to come play in a few 500 point games. I don't care that I'm super late to the party, it'd just be nice to get some gaming in.

I can be there at 3. I'll bring some new eldar.

Is this where we're posting results?

I played brett's orks and won in turn 4.

bat rep: most of the lootas die turn 1, the rest die on turn 2. Then, it's easy for the eldar to stay out of assault/shoota range. The game looked a lot more lopsided than it really was though.

Hey guys,

Just did some fact checking on an issue we were talking about with jetpacks.

It looks like jetpacks move as normal for their unit type in the movement phase, ignoring intervening terrain.

So, jetpack infantry would move 6" in the movement phase, ignoring intervening terrain. Jetpack cavalry (like nurgle drones) would move 12" in the movement phase, because they're cavalry.

Then they get their 2d6 thrust move in the assault phase.

So it looks like no more 12" movement for crisis suits.

That's fine, I honestly didn't know it was 12" or used it in that manner until you mentioned it.

So what does it mean that they can choose to use their jetpack during movement? that they then ignore terrain instead of regular movement and that's it? Not sure why you'd opt to not use their jetpack then!
