What's up guys...recently got back into 40K over xmas break and was looking for a place to play in Manhattan. From what I've read you guys are the place to be. I was curious if there was any sort of scheduled meetup on weekends as I can't do Thursday nights, which appear to be when everyone meets up...

Look forward to getting involved

It's open gaming in the Strat basement from around 10:30-5:30 as long as there isn't an event reserving it (something like a netrunner tournament). Most of the time there are several tables available. You should look for and confirm a game on here before as there's no real regularity down there like there is on Thursdays.

Thanks for the reply...guess I'll have to set something up.

On a different note, what's the meta like there? Competitive or more laid back? Want to structure my lists accordingly.

I would say you will see competitive play out of non-tournament level lists.

Welcome. I'm up for more Sat games. I'll confirm the above meta. I tend to play fluffy, non-ally lists competitively, even in tourneys. :) I've only recently added a flyer, cuz I love the model, but I don't use it every game.

If you're getting ready for a tournament and would like to play against tougher tourney-level competitive lists just post on the forums your interest. There are 3-5 of us that do the tourney scene pretty regularly and could bring something in if we know someone wants to play that.
