so if they're 0-1, how do you get the special characters (shadowseer, death jester, etc)?

From what i've heard they're squad upgrades.

They're definitely squad upgrades.

And the rumor mill isn't 100% that they're a 0-1 choice either.

Some people who claim to have seen the codex are saying yes and some are saying no...

Guess we'll have to wait and see before trying to build the all "Harlequin" army...

Well they are only an elite choice. That much I can tell you. It isn't set up to make an all Harlequin army yet. But I love that the Harlequin's Kiss is worth it again, and roughly equal to it's previous power.

Sorry, what I meant by "all Harlequin" army would involve proxying Autarch/Farseers and other "regular" Eldar stuff for Harlequin equivalents...

Using, of course, the 3 (potential) Elite "true" Harlequin choices

It's seeming like this codex is going to be pretty heavy on the character options. That's cool and all, but people are probably going to go ape-shit for the first little while on the high-cost characters. I mean, a Farseer, an Autarch, Harlies, and a bunch of warlocks and exarchs will look nice on the table and in fluff, but that's a lot of points.

From what I've understood, I'm thinking the other way around -- I'm more excited about the cost reductions for some units, like jetbikes. A jetbike farseer is what is getting me going right now -- highly mobile psykers, yes please! (I wonder if harlies will be able to select wargear from the armoury...like bikes...)

The harli-bike is a maybe. I don't remember, but when I get the chance...

You're right. The HQ section is packed full with Farseer, Warlocks, Avatar, Autarch, Eldrad, Yriel, Harli (maybe). All I've gotta say is an all but the Avatar will still be blown away by a single Str6 shot and failed save.

I'm psyched about a zoom-zoom army with flying psykers. Everybody laughed at jetbikes before, but now I'll show them! And maybe I'll laugh at the jetbikes too.

Well, the news you've been waiting for on harlequins!

-no limitations like 0-1
-18pts each
-squad size 5-10
-stat-line 5 4 3 3 1 6 2 9 -
-come with shuripistol, ccw
-ignores difficult terrain when moving or assaulting
-4pt harlekiss, any amount in squad
-10pt fusion pistol, 2 per squad
-holo-shields: unit has 5+ invulnerable save, but no armor save
-unit champion available
-upgrade one to shadowseer for +10pts (I think): his warlock power; any unit wishing to shoot them must roll 2x2D6 to see them, and if they don't get it they can't choose another target. Hallucinogen grenades passed out to cronies, and they count as plasma grenades
-upgrade one to death jester for +20 (I think); he comes with a shrieker cannon, basically a better shurikannon.

That's pretty much the entirety of it. Overall likable; I didn't see any options for harlequin jetbikes.

Really. Armor value is -, so that kinda really sucks imo, but maybe it's fluffy somehow.
