A few skimmer q's

Do DE Raiders have any specific access points to disembark from, or is it simply anywhere within 2" because it's open-topped? It's hard to believe they'd leap over the front gunner and extra prow length, but maybe that's just me...

Do normal ground vehicles block los to skimmers behind them, but not vice versa?

Do skimmers that are shot down block los just like any other wreck, provided it wasn't a 6 on the pen. chart?

Tom, what about the rule that you just use the hull/outline of the vehicle to block LOS? If you can see the skimmer behind the tank because of how the flying base may push the skimmer model into view above the tank...

Good point.

To be more specific, ground vehicles block line of sight in the ordinary way.

Which means, if you are playing "magic cylinder" rules interpretation, then you can shoot around but not over the ground vehicle.

If you are playing WYSIWYG rules interpretation, then you can shoot over or around the ground vehicle.

Personally, I believe WYSIWYG works fine for vehicles and the like, but a combination of limited magic cylinder as well as WYSIWYG works best for models with bases, especially models like Dreads and Wraithlords. So no shooting between a Dread's legs or over/through its base, for example. At the same time though, this prevents models like Rhinos blocking LOS to a Land Raider behind them.

I'd be inclined to give a 4+ glance cover, though. I'm inclined to agree with your whole assessment. Wouldn't it be easier if we just wrote the rules? :b

Ha, of course it'd be easier.

Alright, thanks guys. I think I'll go with the wysiwyg version, because it does make sense. Now I'll just have to model my landspeeders on really short flying stands :p .
