Dark Age

Jarrett and I picked up crews this past weekend. I believe Weakland is in.

The main draw is the models and fluff, but honestly having read through the whole rules pack, the game seems like a good, way more balanced version of Warmachine/malifaux. 10 or so models to play. Integrated turns. The abilities are way toned down. No powerstones or card hands to boost stuff, just d20 based. Lots of 2nd ed 40k reaction-like abilities.

anyway, if you like the models the V2 playtest rules are a free download from the site. (V1 is 6 years old, and not supported) The printed V2 rulebooks are coming out in a few months.

FYI, as the new edition is launching in June, you can get most of the old packaged miniatures for 30-50% off retail online, with the old cards.

The new cards are free downloads, in addition to being in the new packaging (not out yet except for Adepticon) and I assume a faction deck thing down the road...
