Armies of Chivalry

Postby -John Bianchi » Tue Mar 30, 2004 6:31 am

Sorry for the cross post = its over in Fantasy, too...

The new Warhammer Historical medieval era supplement is out - "Armies of Chivalry".

Its fantastic - 19 armies, many of them are very very different in composition. and if you play empire, dogs of war, or brettonia, you've already got the right models for several different historical armies.

If anyone out there is interested in getting a few games going of the new and improved ancients - with rules updates and clarifications, check it out at the Strategist.

Oh - and I humbly submit that I have a special thanks credit in the foreward, as do some of our other gamers, Andy Small, Gene Ostrovsky (papa gino), and Igor and Jay from Metropolitan Gamers in Brooklyn.

Check it out, guys!

In the spirit of repetition...

Excited about the new supplement. Looking forward to breaking out some "proper" Medieval knights.

OT - give a holler if/when you start test-driving your Ottoman book...

Sounds like fun :)

This might even give me proper incentive to finish my Empire army good and proper.....not.

(bah -- too many other priorities first!

Ken -

You know you'll want to finish when we have our first medievals tourny in about 6 months or so ----

Gosh , wouldn't that be cool? I think we could do it -

John - I'm with you all the way on this one. Even if it's just you, Ken and myself. Even if the FBI does decide to incarcerate me as an agitator.

Maybe if you do it concurrently with a 40k RTT - not many people seem to show up to _those_, so there may well be space to accomodate the Historicals nutters.

right -

Plus there's the guys over at the metropolitan wargamers - i.e. Igor and Jay and others. We could get 6-8 guys no problem...

Well, now I'm in New York, but trapped underneath another opera. However, I *did* manage to zip up to CS and buy Armies of Chivalry! Lovely! Great job, John! I can't wait to play these lists...how's that for a concept? End of May for me, unfortunately.

It's really wild to see something like this actually come to fruition and look so great! Please keep me posted! Congrats also to the playtesters!

Yours in envy,

Nate

Why envy?

Just paint up those Romans and proxy them as Swiss!
