Yeah, duffing three fear tests in one turn pretty much sealed the deal, even setting aside the difference in skills between players. Larry had me even before that, and at that point I consoled myself I wouldn't have to play another hardcore player the next round...and then I drew Ed Maule. *facepalm*

Still, repeating what we've both said, there's nothing in the book, at all, that goes to even Steam Tank level of 'It does what!!!', let alone Hydra or Abomination. The Daemonsmith probably should be 10 or 15 points more for what it does. Big whoop.

I played against Larry at conflict with my skaven, and had never even looked at the book beforehand, he explained everything before we set up units and everything was pretty clear. That being said, my lack of familiarity with the book did not factor in the game, it was pretty much get to him as fast as possible or die on the way in.

I do think that the comp scores for CD's are tougher to figure out due to lack of familiarity for some judges than playing against it.
