Hi all, I'm trying to nail down a John Blanche-inspired look for the unit entry page artwork. Take a look at the Daemons of Chaos unit entry pages- that's the style. (The background / history section artwork is being handles by other illustrators)

Let me know what you think- BE HONEST. I want to make this thing look as good as possible. thanks-Matt

A niggling detail, the rune on the axe is reversed from the way it should be. The open part of the V should be towards the axe haft. As a reference I refer you to the older CD minis (3 Bull Centaurs and a Hero). Pictures can be found in the back of the 5th ed book or, in issue 3 of Word of Hashut.

Oh, and by the way, the picture is quite well done.

If this goes well, as I expect it should, is there any reason why Dogs of War couldn't be done? There were, if I remember correctly, a number of units CDs could use. I would glady work on helping there as well.

As for the artwork,

I like the style and feel of it. Only concern I have is the helmet reminds me of the 'Big Hat' motif, not that I mind. Details are clear, and I like the (roman?) nose of the CD.

Thanks guys-

Border Reiver- oops! thank god for photoshop. will fix.

Hashut's Scion- We have a clever idea for melding the big hat motif with the current hellcannon crew look. Kevin is working it up in the background section, but the fluff solution will explain why there are 2 different looks.

re: Dogs of War, the thought had occurred to me... :) but let's see how this goes once it's done.

Sorry Off topic: I bet John B(who also writes) could help with D.o.W. I think they also got sent to the abyss after people spent allot of time and money on armies. Allot of the tactics articles that I liked on this sight were about D.o.W. It's a shame they got screwed as well as the people who bought the armies. As low powered army they would need just a 7th edition tweek and some magic items to see play.

I think John Bianchi would love to write for a Dogs of War book, that's a great idea.

Oh well, there goes my next 6 months...
