I park on the street at 6 but I have to time it just right. It's free.

I do live in Westwood and I usually take Matt home to Ridgewood when he's in the city. I work in East Rutherford so I come straight in on Route 3 into the city (Lincoln Tunnel). Usually it works out perfectly.

What is the quickest way to the Strat via mass transit?

Is it practical to park somewhere just outside the city, like Hoboken, and ride the train in?

Path Train stops very close to the store. Driving in Jersey City during rush hour is not for the faint of heart though, and I'm not sure going all the way down from where you are saves that much time. But it works great for our guys who live near there.

There's a Suffern train station on Metro North line that goes straight to Grand Central. If you're going to take a train I'm sure that would be the one.

Yes, but that train takes way too long. I don't want to spend more time going to play, then actually playing. That is why I was hoping I could drive to someplace where I could catch a really quick train.

I know the jersey area traffic is really bad, but as I'll be coming in from the opposite direction I'm hoping it will be manageable.

Looks like the Suffern train takes about an hour and fifteen minutes, and goes to Penn not Grand Central.

Not sure you're going to do much better than that.
