My moneys on the Mongers

Too far? How far? Last year it was 6+ hours for me. The year before that it was about 4.5 hours. In an attempt to make it more accessible for folks we've chosen the most Southerly point for our guys; I have to drive 2.5+ hours to attend the event my group is hosting.

So man up and drive! :D

Out of the 4 of us hosting the tournament 3 of us have to drive 90+ mins! Man up Alex!

As far as the brets = extra points goes...I really hope people use this opportunity to field brets and show us how great they are. I doubt it will happen...prove me wrong though! I'm excited to see more variety than usual!

On the duplicate magic items: I believe it was our intent to not allow the same items to occur in multiple lists per team.

http://rankingshq.com/public/tournamentprofile.aspx?TournamentId=2567
Brets 1 & 2 out of 67
http://rankingshq.com/public/tournamentprofile.aspx?TournamentId=2529
Brets 6 out of 30

Brets 1 out 49

Brets 8 out of 78

Brets 22 out of 32

Those are all the USA rankings hq tournaments, with 30+ people in them, since July 1st 2012. Now as far as "proving" Brets are fine.....

So essentially, every team may have one dispel scroll. Unless they have one of the armies with the "special" dispel scroll items.

I know how nasty Brets can be....I was legitimately encouraging anyone who wants to play Brets to bring them. What I 'doubt' is not that Brets are good...I doubt that many people will bring them...and I also doubt that those that do will do much better than the rest of the field. Like I said though, it would be cool if you prove me wrong!

Hey guys, I have a few clarifications.

I'm not sure if these are the 'official' ways that GW intends things...but it's how we're going to run them at NEWCC:

No magic item duplication between armies. That means no multiple dispel scrolls...you could have a spellbreaker or rune of spellbreaking plus a D scroll though.

Each army must be legal if fielded as a standalone force. That means you need a general, a few units, minimum core...etc.

You build your army and the %'s off of the points available for your list. For example: Wood elves are not building an 1100 point list with a bonus 100 points. They have a 1200 point list.

VPs are calculated by the size of your list without a % reduction applied.

Thanks!

No such wussing has occurred. Wussing was discussed and a local vet was consulted. He inserted doberman balls from a recent neuter for a temporary dewussing. Should hold through the weekend.

I dunno. Would be a terribly funny thing to see fall out halfway through game 2.
