I'm out. I have to do some last-minute detail stuff for my son's birthday over the weekend. See y'all next week...

"And remember Lou, Historicals people go nuts over historical accuracy. Therefore it's critically important you quote the movie with that accent as much as possible while playing every game."

Joe, hope the b-day goes well. :) See you next week.

Ken and Slann (forgive me, you told me your name once on a Saturday and I've subsequently completely forgotten), I'll be there between 3:00 - 3:30 PM then. Awesomeness. :)

EDIT: Amazing. Simply Amazing. Turns out the show that I was assisting thought that I also would be running the light board for their show tonight. I swear, there is a vast conspiracy keeping me from ever being able to play 40k. >:

Ken, by the way, thanks again for the playtest game. :) I think if I had moved decisively towards your massed heavy bolter squads starting with turn 1, I'd have done a bit better. Also, I definitely learned to spread my models out. :rollin

Could you post in the Chamber what changes to your army list you made (if any) based on the discussion afterwards? I'm just curious because your army list seems so 1-dimensional it seems it'll be a challenge to learn how to use effectively.

Dave -- no big changes, really. Andy pointed out that it was extremely one-dimensional, and I needed to make it a bit punchier on defense and melee.

So, dropping 8 models (and some stuff) for 8 powerfists. Should be a more effective list -- but still very tricksy to use and play. Which is fine, I like the challenge
