Just a quick question...

We've got our 5 guys, but I feel really bad asking an alternate to prep and then not go. Are other clubs bringing alternates to the event, or should we just tell the 5th guy to stay home?

The 5th guy is only a backup in case one of the 4 can't make it. For the most part, I think the 4 players should have a solid idea if they can definitely make it a few days ahead of NEWCC or not. Just let me know if there are team member changes after list submission has been done.

EDITED: to specifically answer your question, Dan, the 5th player can't play unless one of the first 4 can't make it. It's only for last minute emergencies. On the other hand, I posted about 2 side tournies, so if the 5th player is interested, he can still sign up for one of them if it looks like he won't be needed for NEWCC.

When are army lists due by? And where do we send them?

There's going to be a 40K Rogue Trader Tourney for 20 people, as well as a Blood Bowl Tourney for upto 16. There will be prize support for both. They'll be run by Reality's Edge, who's co-owned by Jim, the man who helped me secure the venue. If anyone is interested, please check for details & register on his website: http://www.realitys-edge.com/events.html. We're expecting both to sell out, so please register sooner rather than later.

Question - For Skaven players, with the new book hitting shelves around Nov 9th...we will be using the Old or New book for the Nov 14th NEWCC? I assume the Old book would be used but wanted to get an official ruling.
Thank,
Cobyjoe

The old Skaven book must be used as the comp judges won't be familiar enough with the new one.
