WAB Tourney in New York City to Benefit American Cander Soci

Postby Miles Gloriousus » Mon Dec 14, 2009 1:09 am

Fellow Warmongers -

Last January, we held a Warhammer Ancient Battles tournament in New York City to honor Al Garnache, who passed away last year after a battle with cancer, and our friends and relatives who have fought the disease over the last few years.

We had a great group turn out for the event, and at the urging of most of last year's participants, we're going to do again this year, the same time - the last Saturday in January.

I hope that folks who participated last year can make it again this year, and that we also get a few new folks taking part. Last year, we raised $1,300.00, and though that's a high mark to hit, I hope that we can do it again this year.

The particulars are below; please let me know if you have any questions.

Moderator: can you please make this a sticky?

I hope to see you there.

John

Gang -

Just an FYI -

We currently have 12 WAB players signed up for the cancer benefit and eight have paid. If you're interested in securing a spot, let me know soon.

Thanks!

John

John,

So glad to see you running this again! It's a worthy event and everyone should come and participate.

I still don't have much interest in playing war games at the moment, nor an Ancients army with which to participate, but I'd be available to help you at the event if you like. Whatever you need, gopher, data entry, barker for when you lose your voice ;)

Andy - I've got you down. Almhughavars, I'm guessing? ;)

God, how I wish there was an American Candor Society. But there isn't so your typo must be: cancer.

And I also wish you much success !

Yes - the American Candor Society probably doesn't need any help - hey wait, they probably need all the help they can get.

Ken - I've got you down as attending.

I tried to pay for this at CS today and was told you were in charge of all $. I assume cash on site is how you want to handle this?
