Andy -

That's right. Since all proceeds go to ACS, it's probably best if I take cash on site. So that's $20 and bring extra for the dice off. 50 cents per dice, usually. I'm raffling off an entire Medieval Persian army and about 10 other packs. And the Strat is giving all people who sign up a 20 percent off chit for the day.

Thanks, Leah! :D

We've got 14 players, and there are a couple more that might show, bringing us to 16.

Jim - Give me a shout tomorrow - or I'll call you - just to get coordinated. I figure I'll show up late on Friday to arrange terrain for the following morning, just to get a leg up. Then, the next day, it should be fairly straightforward. I've got scoresheets, sportsmanship sheets, prizes for dice off and medals for best sports, painted, general and forlorn hope. I think we still have 4x6 file cards around the club for player id cards. That's about it, I think, though I'm probably forgetting something!

Anyhow, I'll call you tomorrow.

Whoa - Thanks a lot for posting that, Jim. Using my patented old-school clipboard method, I couldn't have posted any of that. I had just a little bit to add.

We had 16 players, two more than last year, and it turns out that we raised $1,100, just $100 less than last year. Considering the shitty economy, the fact that a lot of players had to drive a great distance to get here and stay in a hotel, this is a really great figure. We also had a few players with last-minute scheduling conflicts or who were too far away to make it over here; that several of them made donations anyway was very, very generous of them.

Finally, I wanted to give a BIG shout out to Jim for agreeing to help run the tourney; when we ended up with an odd number of players and I had to ring, Jim ran the whole show, totaled scores, judged painting, kept time, got pizza, and a bunch of other things that no one anticipated. By using Excel (something I have no idea how to do), he also brought Ancients into the 21st Century.

Thanks for being a total pro, Jim! I'm ready to do it again if you are! :D
