I'm not sure that a rank-breaking monster is such great shakes with a very slow, static army, especially when such monster and rider really don't hit all that hard. Yes, US 5 flyers are a valuable option to have, but I think the strong concensus here is that this alone is not a good enough reason to take a lammasu, especially given the downside of it making the HP an easier target to shoot or catch out of position.

I would strongly encourage you and Kevin to think some more on adding a slight tweak for the enhancement of casting/avoidance of miscasting by a HP on the lammasu.

How about something related to magic, but a little off the wall

"due to the lammassu's magic nature; spells cast by a high priest mounted on one, NEGATE target units MR vs that caster..."
simple, so it can still SUCK in hand to hand, but makes mounting a wizard on one a pretty valid option..
