I know that you're strongly against making them skirmish, but in all of my games playtesting the list my Sneaky Gitz have done the same thing they do in RH - avoid combat and just hold table quarters. Very rarely do I see a unit and go "oh goody, something for my gitz to go after!" Also, with M4 and animosity it's very rare that I would see an opportunity for them to use their special backstabbing rule. It's nice that they're core but I'm finding that just like in RH, my points are usually much better spent elsewhere.

I will playtest them as a 10+ skirmishing unit and let you know what my opponents think.

Can you also try them as Special with Scout- but no skirmish? See how that goes.
