first thing that people will notice is "another ITP unit ?"

lord know that the CD list probably needs it, BUT i thing the cause fear thing is enough, to give them something more
we could do something else, that additional -1 to armor saves idea, thats floating around isnt bad, cursed weapons or something?
BUT if thats the case great weapons would have to go....

just ideas..

15 point dwarves? I can't imagine we'll see them often.

For 15 points I think they should be stubborn.

Or they should be 11 (12 with shield) points and moved to core.

Changes I'd recommend:

If they are staying 14 points, give them a 5+ Ward Save to represent Hashut's Protection

Or, drop the points to 12, give them shields included, and Champion is Free (To represent Elite Training)

Instead of just giving them fear what about different armour options for the unit. say +x points to cause fear, +y for stubborn, +z for hatred, etc.

What about giving the Darklon the option to take a magic item, in the same vein as the last few 'elite' choices from the new books? These guys are supposed to be the elite of the Chaos Dwarf army, I could see a trusted underling being rewarded with, say, a magic weapon.

They need something to make them stand out in the army more. MR1 from their armor( CD make the best armor), maybe 2 attacks each? Reroll failed saves?

They never take modifiers to their armor saves. S6 attack, regular armor save. Things that negate armor saves would still negate saves.

In all honesty, fear + stubborn (instead of itp) with chaos armor, great weapon shields are a great buy for 15pts. It's a unit which can both tarpit and hammer. Champion should also get access to a magic item.

For sure give the champ 25pts in magic item(s).

Dark Runes of Hashut - Obsidian Guard has some of the best chaos armor the CDs forge. In battle their armor save may never drop below 4+. Attacks that ignore armor saves are not affected by this.

Something travis suggested.
Because you are already forced to take 3 CD units as core, people may not want to take ANOTHER move 3 big ass infantry block. One suggestion was to make this a core/special choice, thus fullfilling one of the core requirements.

I also agree they should be stubborn.
