Battled VC last night
we took take all comers lists

i brought

high priest, w/chalice of fire, amulet of hashut
daemon smith w/ spell feaster
daemon smith w/ sword of bedevilment
bsb w/ armor of gazrakh, and the guantlets of b the cruel

14 bb
14 bb
19 cd warriors w/ warbanner and fc
19 obsidion guard w/fc and stone totem of zhoghar
1 daemon eater
2 b-throwers
6 bc, naked
3 inferno golems

notes

magic phase was effective for running 3 bounds and 2 priest spells,

spell feaster took out one necromaners casting ability (both spells) before my unit got engaged..
i think having to roll for both at high priest AND the daemon smith, needs to go.. too many chances of rolling a one.

the daemon eater is good, it got stuck in a tar pit early (ghouls) and was able to win combat every turn before submitting to poison attacks
i forgot to remember that its attacks every turn count at "impact hits" in determining who goes first.

units of 5 wolfriders are certainly better (who wouldn't have thought that..)

daemonsmiths NEED more attacks, two attacks isnt doing anything..

inferno golems are good but a little boring..

lost the game, but a little hard judging their performance, since VC dont play warhammer, need to test against armies that run away and can panic.

some questions..

does the eruption spell count as magical? i would guess so..
that spell also doesnt say if you need line of sight, or have a range...

is the sword of bedevilment's bound power a remain in play?

thanks

Thanks Method.

Eruption is a spell so yes magical attacks.

As for Bedevilment, nice catch, this should be 'until the start of the caster's next magic phase'

Thanks,

----------How many 1s did you roll? How many wounds did your High Priest suffer as a result of rolling a 1?

acually, i only rolled 1 one on the high priest, and 1 on a daemon smith, but it was all of the bookkeeping, w animosity and everything else in the list...

but it could be just me getting aquinted w the rules so....
