Playing it wrong...

Postby dooms33ker » Thu Jul 07, 2011 10:36 pm

The reason I was having such a tough time with the dreamer today is because I was using 2 AP between him and chomps. Upon further inspection I just realized that it's actually 3 AP... :boom: That would explain why I couldn't pull off all the tricks.

Reading is key boys and girls.

And if you aren't sure of a rule - it's best to take the less advantageous path and move on.

A 35SS game of malifaux should take between 1-1.5 hours ;)

don't forget that those 3 AP are on top of BOTH being able to use their 0 actions, and Chompy's melee expert.

Thanks for the tactica. There's allot of good stuff there though certain things do seem to be either outdated (shadowy form targeting errata) or just plain wrong (stitched together does not die analysis)

Still, it's a hell of a guide. I personally think that the strategy isn't very hard to figure out - I've grasped most of the main concepts and moves of the Dreamer's crew - it's the memorization of the order that the abilities must be used that still gives me trouble.

I've always been an orks and Chaos player myself (both in fantasy and 40k), so the eldar/woodelf-like style of play employed by the Dreamer is something entirely new to me. Like they say, practice makes perfect :D .
