So whats the deal with the no-bitz thing?

Need a bit (or twenty) for that conversion? This is the place.

So what's the deal with the no-bitz thing?

Alright... WTF is up with GW? Say I want another 3 sets of dark pegasus wings to convert three more "eagles"... I have to buy 3 dark pegasus boxed sets?!!?! WTF?!?!?! Are they for real? Is there any news of them, say, offering bitz for sale at game days or GW gt's? Or are they for real about this whole no-bitz thing?

they'r for real. like bending you over without any vasaline type of deal, use battle waggon if you can. GW dose have some bitz packs (for the most common GW ish conversions like space marine sholder pads etc..)

Its the most awsome thing they have done in quite some time.

Holy shit. How utterly retarded.

Are they trying to drive every creative person straight out of the hobby?

Nidal, have you checked Battlewagon Bitz?

This no bitz crap is the reason they're pushing for a bitz bonanza on 4/26. It's an ok idea, but poor. How much does it really cost them to just keep the freakin' molds on an as needed basis?

Battlewagon bitz has a very limited selection. The fantasy section is various plastic boxed sets broken up. Great if you need 8 plastic chaos warrior heads. Absolutely useless if you need 3 set of dark pegasus wings.

What's this bitz bonnanza you're talking about?

A lot, actually. Those moulds aren't cheap to create/replace and do wear out over time...

More than $10 for a set of two metal wings? Sure. Multiply that by several dozen sets of those wings they sell in a year (being conservative) and the answer is no-way. By the time you wear out a mold, you've made plenty of castings to make your money back.

I think I played a rushed small game of Warmachine once, but not enough to get a handle on it.

How is the rule set? Good? I have a FoW army, just need to start figuring out how to play that as well.
