Necron display board & 2nd place painting at St Val Day Mass

I did this on Friday. I was going to paint more designs in the upper corners that the codex has on some of it's pages but didn't have time. Turns out that they would've been covered up by the models. My monolith's base fits perfectly in the circle.




It helped me squeeze out another point in painting for a 17 out 20. Got 6 Forgeworld weathering powders and the Imperial Armor - Model Masterclass book, vol.1. It's pretty sweet.

Very nice. I think I like it better this way than I would with the extra symbols.

That is sweet, Lou. I like the idea of more symbols, too. Maybe in a tone halfway bwtween the black and your green, so that they were a background motif that enhanced the larger, featured ideogram. Regardless, very nice base.

Thx! Turns out that I happened to pick the symbol that represents: Necrons. Makes me wonder if I'm a Cylon, er, I mean Necron.
