and a wired connection is always better than wireless so yes worth it .

Wrong on both counts.

A wired connection merely increases the potential point-sources for failure. Robust wireless and up to date hardware are the way to go.

Except that your internet connection is vastly slower than your home network connection, wired or wireless. But don't let that slow you down.

I wouldn't argue with you, except that it's fun. So this connection you have... what's the speed on it? 4Mbps like normal mortals, or did you pay super-duper-extra and go for the whole 20Mbps? (notice, both are less that the 54Mbps or the 100Mbps of your home wireless/wired router)

But again, don't let math slow you down.

I used to run wireless . And I now the numbers seem better I thought so too , but there are a lot of unseen variables that come into play like other networks close by intervening with the signal stuff like that I tested almost everything I'm my quest for the most lag free connection and I found the hard line the best with the least amount of lag . Lag happens reguardless I just want it too happen less .

I challenge anyone to play a competitive FPS game on a wired machine and then do it on a wireless machine and tell me you can't tell a difference. You absolutely can.

Whether there's enough of a difference to matter to you comes down to a question of priorities.

Meh. Thats an urban phenomenon.

Wireless N is exceeds the fastest commerically available broadband. The problem is all the other fuckheads in your building dirtying up your airwaves!
