Tale of 4 Gamers?

Postby Emperors Reckoning » Sun Sep 19, 2010 6:33 pm

Anyone interested in participating in a ToFG-type endeavor? I am tempted, though it is unreasonable given my crazy schedule? Anyone? Hmmm?

I'm somewhat interested. How are you thinking of approaching this? An online blog from all four and scheduled battle reports?

Hmm, taint rubbing aside, I like the tourny idea if practical. Fantasy ToFG. The pattern that GW has been using this time around is:

First Month - Battalion box + character (or IoB models)
2nd Month - Add new unit + Add war machine + Expand unit
3rd Month - Battalion box + play a game
4th & Later - TBD

I would suggest that we follow that pattern, plus
4th Month - Add new unit + Expand unit + Small tournament (Store or club)
5th Month - Add Featured Model + GT (if possible)

We all blog the experience, either in one thread or separate threads.

What do you say? We would start on Oct. 1st, first report would be due on Oct. 30, though intermediate updates would be nice. There's four of us on this thread:

Duncan - Skaven or High Elves

I can do my Brettonians if someone wimps out. Is this just a motivational tool or is this actually gonna get picked up somewhere?

What are people's feelings on an army that's already begun? This would be a great excuse for me to get the ball rolling on my ogres again, but I've already got 12 finished (though unbased). Also been thinking about Wood Elves...

Hmm I was hoping for 40K as I have (almost!!) just finished my Dwarfs and have a IG army still on its' sprues looking for a good reason, also I'd like to learn 40K, so if it's fantasy then I'll pass, unless I can add the Dwarfs when they're 'finished' but I wouldn't be starting from scratch.
