Removing paint off painted Space Marines

Postby -MarkoftheElite » Mon Sep 19, 2005 3:37 pm

I need advice on removing paint from my painted Space Marines. It seems an old friend of mine has returned and set forth a challenge between his Orks and my old Dark Angels company that I had once a couple years ago. He just wants vengeance on my poor Angels, but alas, I had painted over them in deciding what color scheme I should do my new Chapter in. Thus, the dilemma.

I had heard that Brake Fluid works, but it would take a week. Another suggestion made to me had been using Easy Off or Simple Green to remove the paint, but I am not sure if I want to go in that direction. If anyone can help me with this problem, I would be grateful.

Thank you.

Those are really the three main ways.. brake fluid being the most harsh of the three I think. I personally use Easy Off into a large ziplock back for the minis and leave it two or three days. Scrub with nailbrush in the sink and rinse with water.

Simple Green all the way. It's the only thing I use to strip models that are metal or plastic. Real life models tend to do their stripping for me. :eek
