Need some ideas for Farseer modeling...

Postby -thx10050 » Tue Aug 09, 2005 3:50 am

I need ideas to make a Farseer look WYSIWYG in terms of either riding a jetbike or walking along. I'd rather just have 1 model for both roles, but don't really know how to make him look like he could be doing either.

If it helps, here's the model I'll probably be using: the Specialist Games Farseer: store.us.games-workshop.c...Nav=301115

It's not entirely possible, but you can cheat a bit. If you create your farseer model from the waist up and then build standing legs separate from a pair of legs mounted on the bike you can use a magnet or pins to move the top from one to the other. In general, though, it's easier to just do two of them.

Something like this?

That's pretty sweet, Archmage. :) I take it the Farseer is detachable from the back of the Vyper? I can't quite tell from the picture. Will putting the Farseer on a Vyper (like that conversion) instead of a jetbike work against me tactically, because of the larger base and model? Thanks again for that picture, that's a good idea. :)

Can you even put a Farseer/Warlock on a Vyper legally? I only know of one special character who can (the Saim-Hann Wild Rider Chief).

Well... I have no idea about the viper, rules-wise. However, does it not look really cool? And besides, wouldn't you expect a farseer/warlock to have a special bike? Since you want to make it so it can walk or ride (using just one figure) maybe you should think jet-scooter, rather then jet-bike? And is the base size different between a jet bike and a viper?
