Mr. Birdoff Need Some Help ???

Matt I'm trying to advance my painting techniques along to a higher level then what they are. I have all the basic skills down and some i guess you can call them advanced ones down but I wanna learn some more advance techniques that will help me along modeling and painting and I figure why not come to the guy who has claimed alot of GT awards for painting. So will you help me

Hey Matt. Ok, Well I wanna learn how to Blend, and if it is all possible how to do NNM and light source if it is at all possibile if not it is totally cool. If you have a web site you go to that has tutorials could i get a link please. Thanks

well, the best place for step-by-step tutorials is the cool mini or not website. For myself, I actually don't blend, I do stepped painting, just with lots of steps.

NMM I figured out by looking at pictures of models painted using real metallics, then breaking the colors down. I use a 3-light source tecnique to make sure it looks decent from any angle- front left, front ride, and rear.

Light sourcing was another case of looking at models and breaking the colors down, in this case miniaturespace.net , Jason Richards' site.
