Raul,

Awesome stuff dude! I see you mention your Lizardman army in the article... is that different from the Undead Lizardmen, or the same project? (since it looked pretty done when you were up here ;) ).

As Thrax mentioned let us know regarding visit time... Since Sept. is on the timetable then I haev added it to my calendar. Consider my time free.... Is JP coming as well? Reckon we can get into trouble again? :evil I am happy to mention it looks like I have managed to purchase an automobile... so look out for Thrax and I in your area soon. Nidal has promised to put us up and I will hold him to it... ;) .

Raul

looked through your articles a bit and they aer very nicely done indeed.

I've been intrigued by the dipping thing especially as a method for jazzing up the tyranid army I bought already painted. ONly problem is it's scaly green - and blue. Looking forward to reading on your experiments in blue.

Yah - i have to get to that
As you may know, my nids are blue too

essentially, you want to use a lighter color minwax (pecan works well)

Then you add some good oil based paintes (i like the winsor and newton brand)

Just a little of the color goes a long way

Not unlike using inks to make spcialty colored metallics by adding the ink to mithril silver. Very similar fundamentally.

But like anythign else "paint" oriented, it's all about consistency, which is hard to portray in pictures and words

Raul,

That's great stuff. Very helpful.

Hope to see you/drink with you next time you come to TO! Make sure you give us lots of advance notice before you come so we can prepare for the destruction...

I am fit to be no one's hero...:)

But glad you like it.

I'll be doing a lizarman army soon too.
That's coming out 10 times better, as I am perfecting applying and thinning the minwax

He's not joking. The more he dips this crap, the better it looks. Putting the rest of us to shame with the complete lack of effort required. >:

One related question I had was what size magnets do you use for the dreads (and in fact what size for normal minis as well)?
