Orhan Pamuk, my favorite author, was just awarded the Nobel Prize in literature for his novels.

I've read everything he's written that's been translated into English - in the middle of his latest book right now, "Istanbul".

I've read a bit of his stuff, and loved certain aspects of the plotting and writing style, but something about the pacing and the endings just doesn't do it for me.

Is it me, or did "My Name Is Red" remind you waaaayyyyy too much of "The Name of the Rose"?
