Brian, don't assume that just because the warmongers (or any other local group) have come to a concensus that it's going to be universal. Lots of things they (or more accurately Nidal :p ) tout as common sense would not be the norm down here at all.

In this area, at least with our locals, we're much more by the book. But since we're all doing the same thing, it's not an issue. It's only when people have different expectations that there are issues. If Todd came and played with us and started declaring this and that rule absurd and insisting the rules therefore be ignore he'd be look on in a very dim light. But only here. At home he's a paragon of sportsmanship I'm sure.

I respect that every gaming environment is different. However, as far as a general concensus goes on play style, sports and tactics I would would have to error on the side of success. Allot of yokles around here tout some crazy rules and some are alright but I would say that their collective knowledge is somewhat lacking compared to that of the warmongers and other larger older clubs (Dragon Slayers ect...) Allot of people in the gaming community look to the individuals who have expierence.

Not to say that I agree with everything people say on these boards I do like the deverse opinions. Including yours ED.

No matter what your into. For me in the past, chess, wrestling, mixed martial arts, magic...the sheer amount of people and resources available to the city(NY) produces a stonger competitive environment, exchange of knowledge and Ideas then anyplace in the world that I have been to.

That was weak guys. No aspersions cast on my manhood, questions about the moral standing of my mother, or snipes at my tactical acumen? I'd expect better. And Matt, don't feel restrained by the fact that we've never played a game or even met in real life! This is the internet: such considerations are trivial

I think the warmongers are more on par with how the rest of the country plays WFB. At least Nidal, Rob, Matt, Jim, Andy, Ronen, Larry, and Kevin where when I played them. Not one rules issue in any of those games.

Maybe you are like the chosen one of rules laywering Ed. I know you can't behave this bad at tournament and I agree with John about your need for people to know you exist. It's all good. Just don't look me up for pick up games. I rather beat Bridoff's arse, again, or have Nidal pull some rule out of his butt that is based on 100% fudge than play someone who says having common since is the wrong way to play a poorly writen game.

Psssshhh... that's cause I had to work in fucking Jersey all day! What's up with you Jersey jerks? You don't know how to hook up wireless networks all over the place so we can post on message boards and download porn while at "work"?

What a waste of a day

Whoa now Nidal... I said you could insult my mom, but talking down about my home state is just messed up. I may live in Brooklyn now, but a Jersey boy is a Jersey boy for life

Dude, if you're living in Brooklyn, explain to us again why you're not at the club on Thursday nights? You don't live in Brooklyn. Liar
