Here's the list I was considering:

2nd gen Slann, BSB, Fear Banner, 2+ ward, 5 spells, scroll
2nd gen Slann, 2+ ward, 5 spells, diadem
lvl 2 skink, 2 scrolls
Nike Saurus, GW/LA/SH, +1 to the scaly skin save, +1 attack on the charge

22 temple guard, shields, mus, warbanner
2X12 skinks
11 skinks
12 scouting skinks

2X3 krox
2X3 terradons

3 sallies

Now if I dropped the 2nd slann and the nike saurus, and replaced him with the nike oldblood I have ~400 points to play with, nearly enough for two steggies or two more units of sallies.

Hmmm.

Gross list, but it could be alot grosser.

I would drop the skink priest in a heartbeat. Take a saurus hero on a cold one, sword of might, light armor, shield. There you have a m7 fighter with a 1+ save and s6. Go for the mark of sotek to boot. I don't worry about the stupidity because of ld8 cold blooded is pretty good.

Add another scroll to one of the slaan if you're worried about magic defense.

Are you really sold on the temple guard? They are about 400 points. In a no comp environment replace them with 2 units of salamanders.

Other things to consider, cameleon skinks. Their deployment ruels allow them to get into the backfield better for crossfire. Kroxigors also work much better in units of 4 as compared to 3.

This is for adepticon? No wonder I like comp events so much more. :lol
Fast, like kittens with jetpacks.

Well, turns out my slann are illegal (repeated plaques). I'll fix that.

But the skink priest must stay. I can't hide the slann otherwise.

And I'm very sold on the temple guard. It makes it impossible for a single flying nasty to chase down my slann (something very likely in 3000 points). And it's an awsome anvil unit (and not a bad hammer in a pinch) that people pretty much have to engage if they want a big win (or to win at all).

I was thinking about cameleon skinks, but more for the march blocking than the crossfire. I don't think I'll get to crossfire much with this list.

And yes, adepticon. But there is comp. This list scores 9 of 12 with it. My RAF scores 11 of 12. Something like Andy's Tomb Kings scores a 3. Isn't comp great.

Their comp system is half the reason I'm not attending. Enjoy! :)
