So, I have everything basicly built at this point.

I still need to do some gap filling to smooth out some of the armour plates

I think however I'm going to scratch build an engine for this, as the valkerie one seams slightly too small, Plus if I'm casting the thing I don't want to be using GW bits, we'll see what I can scrounge up today for parts.

Hopefully my casting suplies will show up today and I can get cracking on the molds.

These are some of the best Storm Ravens I've seen on Dakka:

Probably easier to do than what you're attempting. It seems like you're off to a good start and your approach is a lot more ambitious than a lot of the other stuff out there. I'm waiting on making one until an actual model or at least a picture gets released of it.

ya, posibly, however most of them still look like converted valkeries, which while I like the valkerie I don't like it for storm ravens :) also once I get mine finished (molds made etc...) I can make multiples excedingly easily, I just cast them. Thats the main reason, also I don't feal like paying the 100$ a piece that these look like thy would cost (for bits etc)

Hey Brookie, this thing seems absolutely massive. Any chance to take a pic of it next to a landraider for a scale check?

So things are happening slowley with this, oh well, I'm hoping to get the molds completed this weekend, however I need to finish a couple of things.

I've finished filling the main body and most of the smaller pieces, the big hold up is, I've decided to build engines instead of using the valkery engine, basicly to make the engines be a more intergral part.

For those of you interested in the size, a comparisan with a land raider -

8 Size comp side.jpg

And some photos of the engine in progress -

10 engine rear.jpg

Need to finish the front of the engine and some details on the top and bottom

Totally digging it! It totally look marine-ish and not guard-ish.
