I have like 1 high elf eagle. Somewhere. Steal them from Arash. It's not like he'd say anything if someone steals his shit.

What's the obsession of playing 2400-2500 anyway? You get the same game out of 2200, so why is it a huge deal?

And do you disagree that the bigger the games, the more craziness you open yourself to? Because unless you do, I see no reason to scale the game up more and more unless you're specifically looking to unbalance the game as much as possible.

I have always liked big games, and 8th ed is much faster than 7th, so it gives you the chance to play a bigger game in the same time period. so I like that part.

I think that yes, the bigger the game, the more craziness, but that may also make it more balanced. Crazy big events that would end the game at 2000 points would not end a 2999 point game, if you get my drift.

Magic also does not scale up. You never get more than 2d6 power dice, no matter the size of the game. So the most unbalancing part of 8th is immediately less powerful in overall game terms in larger games.

I think Matt has some good points here. Magic is even more dominant at lower point totals, and it's probably the weakest link in 8th. Multiple meaningful engagements has to be good.

This is all just internet hammer until I can get some more test games in at various point levels.
Not caring adds a whole new dimension to the game.

Apparently corrections to the FAQs are already up in German, and we're just waiting for the English.

Claims about the German corrections include:

- Steam Tank loses all protection vs magic
- No panic for O&G when their Fanatics die
- VC loses regen/ward for crumbling
- Cauldron gets its MR back
- Ogre BSBs finally get to carry stuff
- Dwarf Engineers do something for cannons, but no details.
- Changed the wardance sillyness to something else, but no details.
- Moonstone of Hidden Ways and Ring of Hotek changes, but no details.
- More of the "Whoever's turn it is gets to pick" rulings for questionable issues rather than d6ing it.
