Yeah -- it's crazy how big it is. I'm trying to figure out if I could get it on a 50mm base as a bret hippogryph, but it would certainly dwarf the base.

After a long time without updates, I've made a bit more progress. Everything's been primed, and a few things have had the first coat of blue on their bases. I'll keep posting updates as i paint more.

The background of this one includes what I hope will eventually become my Green Knight -- I have him charging out of a tree right now.

I'm slowly getting a few more units together. These are the grail pilgrims. Their faith in the lady (or their lunacy) lets them walk on the water like the knights (instead of wading like the men at arms). Also, if you squint, you can see a banshee in the background. I figure she's the lost love of the grail knight whose bones are carried around. If there are enough casualties that she ends up right beside the knight, then the unit is probably dead and they can be together ;D.

Alright,

bases are done and I've gotten some base colours onto the men-at-arms. I actually think they look kind of cool at this stage. We'll see how I feel when I get finished with them.

I've also started working on the rooster-gryph wings. There is a LOT of wing to paint.

Lol. I was wondering what to write on those banners on the rooster-gryph's barding -- I may have to write that in french :D

That unit with the boat looks quite cool.

Thanks for the comments. I did a bit more work on the boat unit filler last night. Sorry for the bad pics, it's just so much easier to use the camera phone than get out my actual camera.

This is just base colors and some washes. I need to highlight the armour a lot more, and the faces/hands, etc.

Another small update. Here are a few of my custom questing knights (they're not worth it in game, but they're the coolest looking units in the army -- I'm just hoping they get boosted in the next edition ;D).

My personal favourites are the GW Grail Knight (from 5th edition I think), and the guy who is reading a book.

And a couple more knights of the realm/characters/unit fillers
