Scaling up colors on bases

Postby GreyDragoon » Wed Jun 12, 2013 12:01 pm

Hey guys,

So when doing bases I've got them all prepped with the non-grass flock on the model and that colored with shades up from black to white via dry brushing. I was thinking of hitting it with scorched brown after the fact (to create a dark to light brown as part of the basing) but I've never really attempted this before and was wondering if anyone had. If so, do you find that watering down the color you're going to hit it with significantly and then applying across to be best, and do you find it to be better to really saturate it with the brown or to dry brush it on.

First time doing this so I was just hoping to snag some tips before I potentially muck up my otherwise completed models :)

I would recommend that you grab a couple of spare bases that don't have models on them and do tests.
