Thanks for the comment. I have done a bit more on the barding for the rest of them (needs a "clean-up" with yellow and some highlights, but the idea is that each knight has a unique shield, and uniform heraldry on their barding).

I did a bit more work on the barding. The idea is that all of them will have barding that matches their shield on the front left and back right sides, and the "army" barding on the back left and front right.

they definitely still need to be "cleaned up".

They could use a little cleanup, it's true, but they're great so far.

Painting heraldry drives me bonkers.

I think uniform checkers or stripes might look better and go faster. That said, looks great!

Yeah -- i started with the plan of doing uniform heraldry, but I think that it would make my older models (primarily Repanse) stick out like a sore thumb. Plus, if I did everything completely uniform, I think that the minor differences between my stripes/checks would be super obvious. I'm hopeful that the yellow highlighting around the black will make it look much cleaner (and I'm going to do some dark grey highlighting on the black too). But of course, if I really hate it, then the whole bit will get covered in yellow and replaced.

I think checks are busy enough to hide any mistakes/lack of uniformity. Stripes definitely show more. Don't misunderstand me, it certainly looks good as you have it!

Thanks -- and yeah, I do like checks, so i might end up replacing a lot of this with them if I don't like the final effect. But here it is for now. (I'm wondering about doing a green-white blend on either the water or the sword in the "common" part of the barding. Any thoughts?)

And a bit more work -- just 5 knights left to do designs on (and then I just have to highlight everything)

And a bit more work -- some clean-up highlights on the barding, and a basing scheme to tie the yeomen and archers into the rest of the army.
