Maybe the bases will look better on the display board ;)

Indeed. Great work. We've all been following this army blog for a long time and it never disappoints!

The big chicken came out fantastic. Well done on the feathers and the flesh. Love the look of both.

Also love the purple tentacle monster for the halbediers.

Thanks for the comments -- I really like the tentacle monster too :D.

I made a bit more progress over the weekend:

(feathers, skin and green bits need more work)

And these guys still need flesh tones and highlights on their shields.

(I'm also going to fix the banner so that it's just 4 big quarters)

And this is my current idea for an arch lector riding a war altar. I imagine that they throw the skeleton at the enemy to cause the impact hits.

Finally, some more work on the "making tomb kings into a better army" army. In this case, tomb princes riding scorpions as skullcrushers :D

I haven't actually stopped painting. Halberdiers are coming along, as are some additional wizards, another standard bearer and the steam tank (for when the army is the "Marienburg Defenders").

2 foot wizards are from Reaper, unicorn is oop gw, woman on horse is Gamezone, and the priests are from that game company that tried to do mixed minis and online gaming -- i forget the name. Still available on miniaturemarket.com EDIT: just remembered that the priest models are from Ex Illis.
