You need to make up more armies drunkenly during the last night, seems to work out for you to dominate the soft scores!

Hey! My drunken formula of drunken army construction, drunken painting, drunken list building and hung over show up to the first game an hour and a half late, won me a prize and a 4th bracket spot!

BTW - You notice we had almost identical overall scores? HAHAHAHA :p

Ha well you've got me there Pete :)

Do you think you would have had a more solid run through going with your chaos/IG list? I've never played against it before.

Still haven't gotten a chance to play a Necron or a Nid list. Maybe at Mechanicon!

Oh definitely. My list turned out to be pretty horrible. Too slow. No shooty enough. Troops weren't resilient enough. Target priority was easy for my opponents. List developments was too back weighted. I had trouble with death stars. Trouble with ICs. Trouble with MCs. Hell I had trouble pushing cultists and eldar defenders on objectives with hth.

That said, the game has changed a lot since Adepticon. At Adepticon, cover and fliers were king and hell drakes were just begining to change people's list away from cover.

Now that list have been introduced that punk fliers and cover (and can ally with everyone), you are seeing that the meta is resilience without cover. Things with High toughness, strong invulnerable saves and re rolls which were considered to expensive in the past are justifiable now.

Hopefully Orks and Nids (maybe even sisters) can tar pit units like that cheaply so that everyone has to start taking balanced lists again, but we'll have to see what they do with those codexes. I really hope Nids is not just another monster mash army...
