Finally the stars have aligned! We'll be holding a tournament this Saturday at the Compleat Strategist. This is an informal event to get folks playing together for a day at our local -- something that hasn't happened in ages.
Entry fee: $5. This will go to the overall winner as Strat credit.
Players should bring an army of 2000 points (legal, current army books including Tamurkhan). There are no composition restrictions. This point size is intended to speed games up, as we tend to be under the gun on Saturdays. Special Characters are allowed for those that need widdle crutches for babies.
Start time: Get there for 10:15. We will try to start 10:30-10:45, so the sooner everyone arrives the better. Let me know if you're coming and if you may be running late. If you're the odd man to show up late and I haven't been notified I'm not making room for you. I will be running and playing in the event.
Rules
-The latest army and rulebook FAQs are in effect.
-12 dice may be used per magic phase. No more than 6 dice can be used to cast any spell.
-Look Out Sir!: Characters will get "look out sir" versus the following spells that automatically remove models or entire regiments: Dwellers Below, Dreaded 13th.
-Only 2 characters per unit will benefit from this special "look out sir" roll. The owning player determines which characters get the roll.
-Normal requirements for lookout sir apply.
-Buildings will count as impassable terrain.
-No mysterious terrain is in effect.
-BSBs have access to the same mundane equipment as their non-BSB equivalents.
-Epidemius is banned.
-Folding Fortress is banned.
-All judge rulings are final.
We will be using a 0-20 scoring system for this event. This will better represent game results given the time constraints.

0-150 Victory-Points difference - 10-10
151-300 - 11-9
301-450 - 12-8
451-600 - 13-7
601-750 - 14-6
751-900 – 15-5
901-1050 – 16-4
1051-1200- 17-3
1201-1350- 18-2

1501+ - 20/0
NO PAINTING REQUIRED! This is a chance to try stuff out and have fun.
With the prospect of us having an odd number of players here is how that will be handled:
We will roll off to see who gets the Bye. Lowest roll doesn't play.
The Bye will be worth 10 points (a draw).
For subsequent rounds, the player with the lowest battle points will get the Bye round. If a player has already had a Bye, the next lowest battle point total will get the Bye.
