Kevin Coleman you Cretin

The new 7th ed FAQ encourages sliding and tells people they're being jerks if they don't do it!

:lol

It'll an illegal yet encouraged maneuver. No, really. That's what GW says. 8o

Kevin Coleman is the biggest lying cretin of them all. Have no doubt.

Talking a tournament organizer into making a rule based on cretinous made up know-how, then not even showing up to play!

It says that you're a jerk if you don't slide, and breaking the rules if you do.

More GW idiocy.

Well, of course I'll play the way everyone plays (which I'm sure is with sliding), however I don't like it one bit, charging is sooo easy now. Alls you need to do is get your charging unit to touch an enemy unit in any manner and than you automaticlaly get all your men into the fight.

I can't decide. Part of me thinks with no lapping and a few other things they've really made sliding necessary... but I certainly agree it's way too easy now.

Eh.

I'll slide on the charge, but under no circumstances will I slide a pre-existing combat. And you all know I'm prepared to eat (and bitch about) the bad sports score because of it.

I agree completely with GW (except for the hero in chariot and the no lapping around).

They're reestablishing the "sphere of influence" around units. (Now rather than having it be 1 for all units they should make it 1 for hth short weapons, 2 for spears, 3 for cavalry and 5 for archers!)

Ive always felt that it was silly to have units running past enemy units, having combat where only one or two models out of dozens were in btb and where combats dont flow with the battle.

I do think it strange that given their rules that they got rid of lapping around. It seemed in keeping with their overall theme of getting more models into combat.
